Inside out

Pixar movies brings us an animated movie about emotions. The movie resolves around an eleven year old girl named Riley, whose family has moved to San Francisco. It then shows us her experience of coping with this sudden change in her life, the experience that we all must have experienced once in our life of going to a new place and getting settled in a new place ,while the actual movie takes place in her head . Though the animation was still great I could clearly see a difference and how they had improved their production value as compare to their newer ventures like The Incredibles 2.

All the emotions she goes through at the moment are represented as characters manning the control panel in her mind. These emotions are joy, anger ,fear ,disgust & sadness. The movie heavily emphasis the important of making memories, so when one of the memories is lost Joy has to go on an adventure to recover it in Riley’s subconscious that takes her all around the world that represents her mind, while all the other emotions are in total disarray trying to their best extent to keep her mental state stable without the help of sadness & joy. The metaphors and situations that happen to explain a certain emotional state is animated to imply since it’s a children’s movie. It explains how a happy memory can turn into a sad memory due to nostalgia.

The writers made up a really clever way to emphasized the main lesson of the movie while not actually paying too much attention to it. The movie makes you feel all the emotions that you end up seeing as a character . This might be a movie that adults might like more then children because of how the movie represents emotions & how it explains these emotions. The premise of the movie is great & the ultimate lesson is a rare one we needed.
